For the love of orange juice, no one, least of all handicapped people, should have to park under these conditions. We urge our Park District to conduct a costly study to review how this parking spot was selected and why proper access was not provided.
We expect safe and accessible parking at our parks, compliant with the ADA and basic common sense. Clearly this rubble-strewn surface in the remote southeast corner of the park is only big enough to accommodate compact cars. Is this someone’s idea of a joke?

Judging by the location and lack of coloring on the bottom of the post, it appears to have been removed from its previous spot. Possibly it was knocked over and someone leaned it up against the wall?
Thank you for your civility, Claire. This is an early April Fool’s joke. We just love getting silly about Battle Point Park signage.
Well, you know this can't be a true handicapped spot because the able bodied person "just stopping for a sec" isn't parked in front of it.
