Yard Art of the Week: Retro Flying Machine and Friendly Fern Snail

flying machine on Manitou Beach Drive

It’s a bird, it’s a plane . . . it’s a bench with wings?! And it looks like it wants to launch, with some pedal power from its bike parts, across Murden Cove. If you haven’t seen it already, check out this awesome contraption on Manitou Beach Drive.

And over on Ellingson, someone got creative with a tree stump and a sword fern to make a friendly snail.

The kids will dig both of these examples of creative homemade yard art on Bainbridge.

Julie, have you asked the owners of that wonderful "flying" kinetic sculpture about their contraption? Does it locomote?
