Food & Wine Magazine‘s website has just identified the nation’s best ice cream spots, and Bainbridge Island’s own Mora Iced Creamery is one of the 25. The article described its ice cream as “superb.”

The magazine called out Swiss chocolate ice cream as Mora’s signature item. It also mentioned Mora flavors Dulce de Leche and Gianduja. Some of the unusual flavors from shops around the nation highlighted in the article were green tea mochi, baklava ice cream, peanut butter and jelly, and strawberry with balsamic vinegar. Food & Wine also included Seattle’s Molly Moon’s in its list.

White chocolateThis is not the first time Mora has won this honor. The magazine included it on its list in 2011 too. Plus, Mora has been racking up the awards for years. It won the Reader’s Choice Award from West Sound Home and Garden in March, and Seattle Weekly magazine named Mora Iced Creamery the Best Ice Cream Parlor in Seattle for 2011.

Mora is owned by Jerry Perez and Ana Orselli. In case you’ve been living under a rock, here’s its address: 139 Madrone Lane.
